English Songs & BBQ held under the Autumn Sky!
Beyond all borders – nationality, age, background and all.
In November, there was an exciting “English Songs & BBQ” event held in town, where about 70 local and foreign participants enjoyed eating and singing under the autumn Minamisanriku sky. Starting off with some team-building games to ice-break and get to know each other, locals and visitors enjoyed exchanging stories and culture, and new friendships sprouted in the diverse environment.
The event was hosted by Sosha and Shinobu, founders of Earth Camp, which holds experience-based tour programs (in English) in the area for cross-cultural and environmental understanding. The BBQ was also a sneak peek into Earth Camp’s usual two to three day programs where participants experience fishery, camping and other activities – but this time, with a special ‘Songs’ component to it!
