HOTEL & INN

From hot spring baths with sweeping ocean views, fed by water drawn from 2,000 meters underground, to accommodations nestled in the Satoyama countryside, Minamisanriku’s hotels and inns offer a variety of distinctive experiences.

MINSHUKU

A minshuku is a traditional Japanese-style inn. Staying at a minshuku is a great way to experience a more local side of Japan, as well as traditional Japanese rooms with tatami flooring and futons.
Here in Minamisanriku, many minshuku are run by fishing families, offering guests a glimpse into their way of life, along with fresh local seafood prepared by their hosts. We hope you enjoy an authentic Minamisanriku experience.

MINPAKU Experience

Make a second home and connect with a local family through a unique experience that welcomes you into a local home and offers a glimpse into everyday rural life in Japan.
For those who prefer not to stay overnight, a day home-visit experience is also available.

CAMPGROUND

Return to nature under the open sky and camp at Cape Kamiwarizaki, a natural sanctuary where powerful waves continually surge through the gap between the rocks. From late fall through winter, visitors can witness the sun rising through this natural opening in the rocks. In contrast to the crashing waves, the nature trail along the cliffs offers a peaceful and tranquil setting.
Passing through fields of daylilies, wild blue flag iris, and pine trees shaped by nature, the trail leads to the tip of the cape, where you can enjoy views of Enoshima and Kinkazan rising from the vast Pacific Ocean in the distance.
