Participants use branches from local cedar trees to make their own spoons and forks by carving them with knives and other tools. While experiencing the warmth of natural materials, participants learn about both the enjoyment and challenges of making things by hand. This experience also provides an opportunity to develop greater awareness of the environment.

This program is recommended for those who wish to experience the basics of hands-on craftsmanship while developing greater awareness of the environment through making use of natural materials, those interested in environmentally conscious activities, and those who would like to take home an original piece of cutlery as a souvenir of their trip.
